NZ -> Guangzhou -> LUX available?
Hello, would the following route be available for the 240 h visa free transit with the new rules with French passport:
1. Auckland, New Zealand → Guangzhou (Canton Baiyun) – layover 28h (going out of the airport to visit)
2. Guangzhou → Zhengzhou (Xinzheng) – layover 2h30 at the airport
3. Zhengzhou → Luxembourg
If yes, all I have to do is ask for my visa when I arrive in Guangzhou before exiting the airport that’s right? Thank you

According to China's updated 240-hour visa-free transit policy (effective December 2024), French passport holders are eligible. Your itinerary qualifies: arriving in Guangzhou for a 28-hour stay, transiting through Zhengzhou (2.5-hour layover), and departing to Luxembourg. Simply present your passport, interline tickets from Zhengzhou to Luxembourg, and itinerary to immigration when entering Guangzhou Baiyun Airport—no prior visa needed.
