In the early morning light, a Citywalk exploring the charms of Chongqing's mountainous city kicked off. First, we stepped onto the Yangtze River Ropeway, a heart-pounding journey through the air. As the cable car slowly slides out of the station, the Yangtze River shimmers beneath your feet, and the scenery on both sides of the river unfolds like a scroll.

After getting off the ropeway, you will enter the Eighteen Stairs, which is full of historical flavor. The stone paths here have gone through vicissitudes of life, and each piece of green stone plate records the stories of the past. The old houses on both sides of the street are mottled, but you can still see the prosperity of the past. The small stores along the street are bustling with all kinds of handicrafts and local snacks, and the air is filled with tantalizing aromas.

We will then take you to Jiefangbei, the commercial center of Chongqing and a symbol of the city. The towering monument gleams in the sunlight, and the surrounding skyscrapers showcase the city's modernity and prosperity. You can stroll through the busy streets, admire the various stores and billboards, and feel the fashion and vitality of the city.

In the late afternoon, we will take you to the Eling No.2 Factory, a creative park full of artistic and literary flavor. The park retains the industrial look of the old printing factory while incorporating modern design elements to create a unique artistic atmosphere. You can walk through the park, visit various art exhibitions and creative stores, and feel the perfect fusion of art and life.

Then, we will bring you to the scene of the spectacle of the Liziba Light Railway passing through the buildings. This incredible sight is breathtaking as the LRT train slowly passes through the residential buildings. You can stand on the observation deck to get a close-up view of this mind-blowing scene and feel the harmonious coexistence between modern transportation and ancient architecture.

Finally, as night falls, we will take you to the old town of Ciqikou. The town is full of lights and people, and is filled with a rich historical and cultural atmosphere. You can stroll along the green stone road and admire the ancient buildings and the wide range of handicraft stores. Taste the authentic Chongqing snacks in front of the food stalls in the ancient town and feel the unique spicy and fresh aroma. Listening to a Sichuan Opera face-changing performance in a teahouse is a great way to appreciate the unique charm of the Bayu culture. This day of Citywalk in the laughter in the curtain, you will be full of harvest and unforgettable memories left this beautiful mountain city.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return. Q & A

Asked by Samuel Bloor from Germany | July 18,2025 15:29
Is there a best spot at Liziba to take photos—like a specific angle?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 18,2025 16:57
The official observation deck is ideal—it’s elevated and faces the building directly. For a unique shot, try the pedestrian bridge nearby—you’ll get the train, building, and a bit of the surrounding neighborhood in frame.
Asked by Blake Marner from Ireland | July 18,2025 13:57
How long does the Yangtze River Ropeway ride last? Is it scary for someone afraid of heights?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 18,2025 16:57
The ride is about 5-10 minutes, offering stunning river views! It’s smooth and steady, so even if you’re a bit nervous about heights, the short duration and scenic focus make it manageable—most people find it exhilarating, not scary.
Asked by Randolph Stella from UK | July 18,2025 13:16

Answered by intotravelchina | July 18,2025 16:56
Eling No. 2 Factory hosts a variety of art exhibitions, including painting exhibitions, sculpture exhibitions, and photography exhibitions. These exhibitions feature works by both local and international artists, showcasing different artistic styles and concepts.
Asked by Dwight Dillon from Germany | July 18,2025 11:37
Is there a best time of day to take the Yangtze River Ropeway?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 18,2025 15:59
Both morning and evening are great times. In the morning, the light is soft, and you can see the river and the city waking up. In the evening, the city lights up, and you can enjoy a romantic view of the illuminated skyline and the river.
Asked by Lyndon Harrod from Canada | July 18,2025 10:57
Is this itinerary suitable for senior travelers?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 18,2025 15:59
It can be suitable, but there are some factors to consider. The Yangtze River Ropeway is generally safe, but some seniors might feel a bit nervous. The Eighteen Stairs involve some walking on uneven stone paths, so comfortable shoes are a must. Jiefangbei and other spots are relatively accessible, and our guides can adjust the pace according to the seniors' needs.
