Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return. Q & A

Asked by Eli Dillon from Colombia | July 29,2025 18:19
will the trails be well-marked
I’m not great with maps, do I need to follow the guide closely? I don’t want to get lost!
Answered by intotravelchina | July 29,2025 18:25
Trails are marked with simple signs (in Chinese and English), but our guide stays at the front/back of the group—no one gets left behind. They carry a GPS and offline maps, just in case. Even if you wander a little (to take a photo), they'll call you back—no stress. It's impossible to get lost with them around!
Asked by Noyes from France | July 29,2025 17:59
Is there phone signal on the trails?
I want to check in with family, but I also don’t mind disconnecting.
Answered by intotravelchina | July 29,2025 18:24
Signal is spotty—good in villages, patchy on mid-mountain trails, nonexistent in remote valleys. That's part of the charm! We carry a satellite phone (for emergencies only) and share a daily "check-in time" (6 PM, when we reach guesthouses with Wi-Fi) so you can text family. Most guests love the break from screens—focus on the mountains, not notifications!
Asked by Harry Judd from Canada | July 29,2025 17:40
I’m traveling solo. Are the groups small?
do you mix solo travelers with others? I want to socialize but not feel overwhelmed.
Answered by intotravelchina | July 29,2025 18:23
Groups are small, which makes bonding easy! Solo travelers often pair up on hikes, share meals, and swap photos. Our guides encourage casual chat but never pressure—if you want quiet time, that’s fine too. Past solo guests say it's a great way to make friends (we've had people plan future trips together!). You'll feel part of the group without the chaos of large tours.
Asked by Nigel Croft from Colombia | July 29,2025 17:23
What’s the most scenic section of the entire hike?
I want to make sure my camera’s charged for the moments. Any hidden spots the guide knows about?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 29,2025 18:21
The "Moonlight Valley" in Siguniangshan (Day 4) is unbeatable—a 2km stretch where alpine meadows meet jagged peaks, with wildflowers (July-August) carpeting the ground. But our guides love sharing hidden gems: a secret waterfall near the Yading base camp (ask to detour 15 mins off-trail) and a sunrise viewpoint over Daocheng's "Hai Zi Gou" (lakes reflecting snow-caps) that most groups miss. They'll even wake you early for it—worth the 6 AM alarm!
Asked by Warner from UK | July 29,2025 17:03
What gear is essential for this tour?
I don’t want to overpack, but I also don’t want to miss something crucial. Do you rent items like trekking poles or waterproof jackets?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 29,2025 18:20
Essentials: sturdy waterproof hiking boots (ankle support is key), 3-layer clothing (moisture-wicking base, fleece mid, waterproof outer), a daypack (20-30L), sunscreen (SPF 50+), and a reusable water bottle. We rent trekking poles ($5/day), waterproof jackets ($8/day), and even portable oxygen canisters ($10) if you’d rather not buy. Pro tip: Skip heavy books—our guide carries a local flora/fauna guide to share!
