In the morning, you will take the Tianmen Mountain cable car, through the sea of clouds straight to the top of Tianmen Mountain, which is more than 1,400 meters above sea level. This ropeway is 7,455 meters long, one of the longest in the world.
You'll then take a scenic forest cable car ride to arrive at the Tang Dynasty Tianmen Temple, a Buddhist shrine tucked away amidst verdant greenery and one of only five remaining Buddhist temples in the world to preserve the remains of a Buddha statue.
You will then go on two sections of the trail. One is a glass skyway that sits above the bottomless pit, and the second is the Ghost Valley Trail that clings to the cliff. Both of these trails are a test of your mettle.
Then you'll come to the Tianmen Cave. You can choose to step on the 999 stone steps, the highest diagonal angle up to 45 °, as if the sky ladder hanging straight up to the sky.
At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will transfer you to Zhangjiajie Airport for your flight to Xi'an.
Notice
If you don't want to walk the 999 steps, there's a more relaxing option for you: you can take the convenient escalator. But please note that there is an additional charge of RMB 35 per person for this.
