Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return. The free time option to "walk around Chengdu"
any specific neighborhoods or spots the guide might recommend for experiencing local residential life?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 30,2025 11:13
Your guide might suggest areas like Kuanzhai Alleys—preserved old lanes with courtyard homes, local cafes, and street vendors. It’s where you’ll see residents chatting, kids playing, and elders practicing tai chi—real, everyday Chengdu life. It’s a lovely, low-key way to connect with the city.

For free time, Chunxi Road is recommended.
What’s special about this street, and are there specific snacks or shops we shouldn’t miss?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 30,2025 10:53
Chunxi Road is Chengdu’s bustling pedestrian street—think modern malls, local boutiques, and street food stalls. Don’t miss "three guns" (a famous local pastry) or "longchaoshou" (spicy wontons) at historic shops. It’s a great mix of urban energy and local flavor, perfect for a leisurely stroll or last-minute souvenirs.

About Chengdu People’s Park
The itinerary mentions tea, mahjong, and ear cleaning. Can we actually join locals for mahjong, or is it just observing? And what’s the ear cleaning service like—is it safe and worth trying?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 30,2025 10:53
You’re welcome to join locals for mahjong—they often love visitors joining in! As for ear cleaning, it’s a traditional Chengdu treat: skilled practitioners use tiny tools for a gentle, relaxing experience. It’s safe and a fun way to dive into local culture. Grab a pot of tea, sit back, and soak in the park’s laid-back vibe—this is where you’ll feel Chengdu’s famous "slow life."
Asked by Albert Hart from South Africa | July 30,2025 09:35
I want to see pandas being active
are mornings the best time, and will we get to see pandas of all ages, like cubs and adults?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 30,2025 10:53
Mornings are perfect! Pandas are most active in the early hours, so you’ll likely see them eating bamboo, rolling around, or climbing trees. The base is home to over 100 pandas, so you’ll spot cubs (adorably playful!), juveniles, and adults—plenty of photo ops with these fuzzy stars.

What's the difference between "Qingcheng Mountain" and other mountains?
Why should I choose this tour over others?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 30,2025 09:32
Qingcheng Mountain feels like a serene retreat—lush forests, winding paths, and ancient temples create a calm, almost meditative vibe. You'll visit sites linked to Zhang Ling, the founder of Taoism, who preached here in 142 A.D. The highlight is Laojun Pavilion, a 9-story, 33-meter tower where you can overlook the entire mountain's panorama. It's a stark contrast to urban chaos—perfect for connecting with nature and history.
Answered by Gabriel | November 13,2025 17:53
I just returned from traveling there. Qingcheng Mountain is one of the birthplaces of Taoism in China and a world cultural heritage. It has historical and cultural value and can understand the history of Taoism. There are Taoist temples such as Jianfu Palace, Tianshi Cave, and Shangqing Palace in Qianshan, where you can visit ancient buildings and Taoist relics. At the back of Qingcheng Mountain, there are Tai'an Ancient Town, Longyin Gorge Plank Road, Cuiying Lake and other natural landscapes. You can walk and watch waterfalls and streams. Moreover, Qingcheng Mountain is suitable for all seasons. Spring outing and low temperature in summer are suitable for summer vacation; You can enjoy the red leaves in autumn and the snow scenery in winter.
