Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return. Q & A

Asked by Nat Dodd from Singapore | July 29,2025 11:11
The itinerary says the evening is free, with a recommendation for Jinli and People’s Park.
How do I get to Jinli from the exposition park, and is it safe to go there alone in the evening? I’m a solo traveler.
Answered by intotravelchina | July 29,2025 11:28
It’s easy and safe! From the park, a taxi takes 20 minutes (around $5), and drivers know Jinli well. Jinli is lively but secure—lit up with red lanterns, full of locals and tourists, with police patrols. As a solo traveler, you’ll feel comfortable wandering the lanes, trying street food (try the sweet fried dough), or browsing craft shops. It’s best to go 6-8 PM—busy enough to feel vibrant, but not overcrowded.
Asked by Kimberley Reed from Scotland | July 29,2025 09:54
How many pavilions are there at the International Intangible Cultural Heritage Exposition Park?
I don’t want to miss the best ones—should I prioritize Sichuan opera masks, lacquer, or bamboo weaving?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 29,2025 11:27
There are 5 main pavilions, each focusing on a craft. Prioritize: 1) The embroidery pavilion (Shu embroidery is iconic to Sichuan), 2) The lacquer art pavilion (the 50-layer technique is mind-blowing), and 3) The Sichuan opera mask workshop (you can watch artisans paint the bold, colorful masks used in face-changing (变脸, biàn liǎn) performances). Bamboo weaving is lovely too, but it’s more spread out—your guide will lead you to the most impressive spots first.
Asked by William from UK | July 29,2025 09:34
are there restrictions on taking photos at Jinsha Site Museum?
I’m a photographer. Some ancient artifacts are sensitive to flash, but I want to capture the Sun God Bird up close.
Answered by intotravelchina | July 29,2025 11:27
Great question! Flash photography is banned (to protect the delicate gold and jade), but natural light shots are allowed. The Sun God Bird exhibit is in a well-lit case, so you can get clear photos without flash. The outdoor excavation pits are perfect for wide-angle shots—early morning light (when we visit) makes the ancient soil and stone structures look incredible. Just avoid blocking other visitors while shooting!

Answered by intotravelchina | July 29,2025 09:25
