Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return. I'm planning to take the Suzhou 2 - day tour in the winter.
What kind of clothing should I pack, and are there any special considerations for the winter weather in Suzhou?
Answered by intotravelchina | August 01,2025 16:46
Winter in Suzhou can be cold, especially in the evenings. We recommend that you pack warm clothing, such as a thick coat, sweaters, long - sleeved shirts, and warm pants. A scarf, hat, and gloves are also essential to keep you warm. Since the weather can be a bit damp, it's a good idea to bring waterproof shoes or boots. During the day, when the sun is out, it might be a bit warmer, so you can layer your clothing accordingly. Also, some of the indoor attractions, like museums, may have central heating, so you can adjust your clothing as needed.
Asked by Tom Cissie from Australia | August 01,2025 15:42
Are there any historical sites or museums in Suzhou?
Answered by intotravelchina | August 01,2025 16:48
Definitely! You'll visit the Suzhou Museum. It's a modern museum that showcases a wide range of artifacts related to Suzhou's history, including ancient ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy. The museum's architecture itself is also a work of art, blending traditional Chinese elements with modern design. You'll have the opportunity to explore the old streets and buildings, which have a long history dating back hundreds of years. Our tour guide will share with you the stories and legends behind these historical sites, giving you a deeper understanding of Suzhou's rich past.

local Suzhou cuisine
Could you tell me which meals are included in the itinerary and what kind of local dishes we can expect to taste?
Answered by intotravelchina | August 01,2025 16:50
For breakfast, you'll have a chance to try some traditional Suzhou - style breakfast items like Shengjian Mantou (pan - fried buns filled with pork), Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), and soy milk. During lunch on the first day, you'll be taken to a local restaurant where you can sample classic Suzhou dishes such as Sweet and Sour Mandarin Fish, which has a crispy exterior and a sweet - sour sauce, and Squirrel - Shaped Mandarin Fish, named for its unique shape. On the second day's lunch, you'll get to taste Braised Pork Balls in Brown Sauce, a hearty and flavorful dish. For dinners, you'll have the opportunity to explore local night markets or restaurants and try other street food specialties like Fried Glutinous Rice Cakes and Fried Tofu Puffs.
