  • Terracotta Warriors and Horses--Da Ci'en Temple--Big Wild Goose Pagoda--Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City

  • 4+ star hotels

We will drive about 40 kilometers to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses. These Terracotta Warriors were built by China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, to protect him in the afterlife. Over 8,000 life-size terracotta figurines, horses and chariots were buried underground for over 2,000 years until they were discovered in 1974. Standing in front of these spectacular statues, you will be awed by the ambition of Emperor Qin Shi Huang and the skill of ancient Chinese artisans.

Before visiting the Terracotta Warriors Museum, you will also have the opportunity to experience traditional culture by making a miniature Terracotta Warrior under the guidance of a local potter.

After lunch, we will return to downtown Xi'an and visit the Da Ci'en Temple. This temple was a famous translation site of Buddhist scriptures during the Tang Dynasty. The temple has a 64.5-meter-high pagoda, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built by the Buddhist master Xuanzang to preserve the scriptures he brought back from India.

If you are interested, you can climb the Big Wild Goose Pagoda (extra charge applies) for a great view of the city.

As night falls, we will take you to Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City. It is a unique Tang Dynasty cultural theme imitation complex in China, where you can enjoy rich singing and dancing performances and charming night scenery.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return. Q & A

Asked by Tabitha Lucius from Ireland | July 21,2025 17:06
Can I swim in the Yangtze River during the cruise?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 21,2025 17:06
No—the current is too strong. Instead, join the “River Stone Painting” workshop on deck—locals will teach you to paint mini landscapes on smooth stones. Keep one as a souvenir!
Asked by Marian Barrett from US | July 21,2025 16:50
Wu Gorge’s small boat tour—will I get wet?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 21,2025 17:07
Rarely! The boats have canopies, but bring a lightweight rain jacket—the gorge’s mist can drench you in seconds. Fun fact: The coffins on cliffs were placed there by “corpse washers”—locals still debate how they did it without ropes!
Asked by Albert from US | July 21,2025 16:33
Xian Museum—what’s the one artifact I shouldn’t miss?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 21,2025 17:07
The “Golden Dragon Coffin” from the Han Dynasty—it’s covered in 2,400 jade pieces. Secret: The museum’s basement has a replica you can touch (the real one is behind glass). Locals rub it for good fortune!
Asked by Cedric Pansy from Canada | July 21,2025 16:22
Can I ride a bike on the Ancient City Wall at night? Is it safe?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 21,2025 17:07
Night rides are allowed until 10 PM! The walls are well-lit, and guards patrol every 300 meters. Fun fact: The wall’s crenellations (battlements) are shaped like the Chinese character “口” (mouth)—ask your guide why!
Asked by Louis Timothy from Ireland | July 21,2025 15:58
What’s the best spot to take a photo with the Terracotta Warriors without crowds?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 21,2025 17:08
Head to Pit 3’s far left corner—it’s less crowded and has a unique formation of cavalry soldiers. Pro move: Ask your guide to borrow a red silk scarf from a staff member—the warriors “come alive” against the color in photos!
Asked by Vivian Bowman from US | July 21,2025 15:30
Is it worth paying extra to climb the Big Wild Goose Pagoda? What’s the view like?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 21,2025 17:08
Absolutely! The pagoda’s 7th-floor balcony offers panoramic views of Xi’an’s skyline, including the ancient city walls and modern skyscrapers. Pro tip: Visit at sunset for golden-hour photos—locals say the pagoda’s shadow aligns perfectly with the city’s energy grid!
