1. Determine travel time and budget

The first step in planning a trip to Shanghai is to determine the travel time and budget. Shanghai has distinct four seasons, each with its own unique charm. Spring flower viewing, summer water play, autumn leaf viewing, winter snow viewing, choose the season that suits you for travel. At the same time, according to one's own budget, arrange accommodation, meals, and transportation expenses reasonably to lay a solid foundation for the entire journey.

2. Selected Shanghai attractions

Shanghai has many famous scenic spots, such as The Bund, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Yu Garden, Tianzi Square, etc. The Bund is an iconic landscape of Shanghai, and the night light show is even more beautiful; As the symbol of Shanghai, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower can overlook the whole city from the top viewing platform; Yu Garden is the best place to experience the beauty of classical gardens; Tianzifang is full of artistic and creative atmosphere. Select a few must visit attractions based on your interests to make your journey more fulfilling.

3. Book shanghai tour guide services

Booking a professional Shanghai tour guide is a wise choice for those who want to gain a deeper understanding of Shanghai's History and Culture. A tour guide can not only tell you the historical stories of the scenic spots, but also lead you to discover hidden delicacies and small shops, making your journey more colorful.

4. Plan Shanghai's urban sightseeing routes

Plan a reasonable Shanghai city sightseeing route based on the selected attractions. You can choose to take transportation such as subway, bus, or taxi, or consider renting a bicycle or walking to experience the pulse of the city. Remember to reserve enough time to stay at each attraction and fully enjoy the fun of traveling.

5. Book Shanghai Holiday Package

To save time and energy, consider booking a Shanghai holiday package. These packages usually include one-stop services such as accommodation, dining, attraction tickets, and transportation, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of your trip without worrying about itinerary arrangements.

6. Prepare travel essentials

Finally, don't forget to prepare travel essentials such as ID cards, passports (if traveling abroad), cash, credit cards, phone chargers, cameras, etc. In addition, according to seasonal changes, bring suitable clothing and shoes to ensure the comfort and safety of the journey.

Through the above 6 steps, I believe you have made sufficient preparations for your trip to Shanghai. Whether it's exploring Shanghai's attractions, enjoying the fun of Shanghai tourism, booking a Shanghai tour guide, planning a Shanghai city sightseeing route, or choosing a Shanghai holiday package, it can make your journey more unforgettable and exciting. Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
