Hi, we are a family of 4 adults and 2 children (1 infant, and 7 years old). May I know if I need to purchase tickets for the children as well? We are looking to travel overnight from xian and Shanghai on deluxe soft sleeper. Would we be able to be accommodate in the same compartments?

For the 2 children, the infant travels free. The 7-year-old needs a child ticket if their height is 1.2m to 1.5m, or travels free if under 1.2m. Deluxe soft sleeper compartments have 4 berths, so your family of 6 may need 2. We’ll endeavor to book the same compartment (no 100% guarantee). Contact service@intotravelchina.com.
