Morning (9–11 AM) is magical! The sun hits the lakes at a low angle, making the turquoise, green, and blue hues pop—Five Flower Lake, in particular, looks like a palette of gemstones. Overcast days soften the colors a bit, but the lakes still glow (they’re fed by mineral-rich waters, so the color is natural, not just light-dependent).
